Meet Jeff
Jeff is the principal lawyer at Rouse Law Office. His practice primarily consists of family law and general litigation. Jeff opened his office September 2007 after leaving a general law practice working as an associate.
Jeff’s practice has a special focus on family law. He started his training as a lawyer mostly working on family law files. Jeff’s articling experience was with a Toronto law firm. The challenges of family law quickly became evident at this time. However, Jeff also experienced the triumphs of working with clients through difficult times. Jeff’s belief in helping clients in times of need was starting to take shape. This time of need was usually during a relationship breakdown. It is this belief that would be become the backdrop for opening Rouse Law Office. It is Jeff’s sense of dedication to the client that puts Rouse Law Office at the forefront with its continued success.
Jeff is also on Legal Aid’s Family Law Duty Counsel Panels in Simcoe and Grey Counties. He has been a Panel Lawyer since the Fall of 2007. This was provided Jeff with a wealth of courtroom experience dealing with hundreds of clients and their family law issues. He has been able to use this experience in his practice assisting his clients. Jeff’s embrace of technology allows his practice to offer cost efficiencies to his clients other firms cannot. This technology also allows Jeff to be accessible to his clients unmatched by other firms.
Jeff’s client base is primarily in the Georgian Triangle. However, this client base also extends to the reaches of Simcoe County and beyond. Again, Jeff’s embrace of technology allows for such opportunities. Jeff commonly attends courts in Collingwood, Barrie, Midland, Orillia, Owen Sound. He also attends courts in Orangeville, Newmarket, Cobourg, Toronto, Simcoe and even as far as Thunder Bay.
Jeff received his Bachelor of Arts Honours from Laurentian University. He then graduated from the Masters in Environmental Studies / Bachelor of Laws Joint Program. He articled with a Toronto Firm with a focus on litigation. He was called to the Bar October 2005. He has been in private practice ever since.
Jeff has lived in Wasaga Beach since April 2006. He has three children.

Rouse Law Office was established in September 2007. The physical office is located in Collingwood, Ontario. Jeff Rouse is the principal lawyer at the office.
He recognized a need to assist a clientele that many law firms had ignored. His target clientele represented the vulnerable, low income individuals that other law firms turned away. The ‘Leave no client behind’ approach resulted in success practice model that continues today.
